travel
So I really need to take a vacation. I haven't taken a real one in a while, and that is something that is a necessity for me to maintain my sanity and balance within life.
Last night I went to see Under the Tuscan Sun with my roommate, and a few young ladies from our program... so anyway watching this movie struck up my desire and passion to travel again. All last summer I had planned to spend the summer of 2003 traveling in Italy and relaxing in Capri after graduation, but noooo I decided to further my education (which is well worth it) but believe me a summer in Syracuse is no vacation at all. Then for a class I decided to represent a firm that does black travel in Paris and that struck up more desire to travel abroad and so I have to go there too. So many places, so little time.
Maybe I will head somewhere and have an extravagant spring break, or will I be interviewing instead, when I graduate in May it's off to start an internship so that I can complete my degree, then after that a conference in Vegas which won't be a bad mini-vacation but it is still no getaway, then after that it's time to hit the workforce. I hope somewhere in there I can sneak in a little time so that I can go somewhere where I can soak in culture and heritage, see faces that are different then mine, breathe a different air, and experience something new and spectacular.
Can I go to Paris for the weekend and see the Louvre and dance in a club in "little Africa", and then take a tour of the Tuscan countryside, and then relax on the Isle of Capri and sip some limoncello by the ocean.
Well a girl can dream (for now)
