Hey people just stopped by to say hola and let you know I'm still alive. The week has been busy. Last night was wine club and it was cool. We did Italian wines and there were a lot of reds which I don't like and basically all the wines were blah except for this one dessert wine Bartenura Moscato D'asti. That wine was just splendid, if anyone loves me they will buy it for me lol (I'm serious too). Today was extra extra busy. I did the graduate open house for Newhouse and it was very weird because I remember exactly a year ago I was sitting in the same place as they were and now I'm halfway done with the program. It was cool though, a lot of interesting people and of course all the brown people flocked to me khaya and GG to ask us what was up lol. After that I went to Carousel with GG and we went in H&M and I was good and didn't buy a thing, but then we went in Kaufmans and I was doing good and then....
the dreaded MAC counter. Their eyeshadows are my new addiction. I went to ask the lady one question since I was planning on going out to where there were SUPPOSED to be a lot of black professionals, next thing you know I'm sitting in the chair getting my eyes done spectacularly. It was AMAZING what she did, and what makes it worst was she did one eye completely and on the second went step by step so I'd know how to do it at home, which meant I just had to buy all three shadows even though I'll never recreate that exact look. But let me tell you my eyes were looking so flyy it was ridiculous I had to take a picture of them lol as a matter of fact right now I'm in pajamas and still have my eyes done and I don't want to take it off. As you can see simple things make me happy lol, but my eyes really are sexy :) all I did was put on some gloss on my lips and then I was super sexy (at least that's what this guy told me hehe).
So after my adventures at MAC I went home and did a quick change so that me Jo, GG, and Khaya could go to Rochester for First Fridays. So let me tell you I was sexy lol, black V neck, black pants, red 3 inch stilleto's, red glass chandelier earrings, and the sexy eyes and lips...whew I was killing them lol (gotta love me). The long drive to Rochester for First Fridays was wack. But I have to remember upstate NY and DC are different so I can't expect the same thing. So to make a long story short the bartender didn't know how to make anything (who just pours martini ingredients in a glass and doesn't shake it or even stir it... now I know in CNY to keep it simple with the cranberry and vodka or champagne), there were like 4 attractive men there (there were other men besides them as well just not attractive) to about 20 beautiful women (the rest mediocre) I danced with all four of the guys two or three times (did my little "step in the name of love" dance and then put the beyonce shake it on them lol) and once the novelty wore off and they were finished gazing I was ready to go. We left after being there all of two hours and the highlight of the evening there was getting a sandwich from the street vendor. But ahh well.
All in all we had fun though since it was an hour ride we sang and danced and tripped in the car and that made it cool. But I'm tired now and sleepy so I guess I'll be going to bed after I go clean off my eyes :-(
