what a day
I haven't been on here in close to week and life has been real busy. Mom and Granny came up last Saturday and we had a pretty good time. Saturday consisted of dinner and shopping and Sunday was the same except church was thrown in to the mix. We had a pretty good time. The rest of the week was blah it consisted of writing papers and studying for the Research test that was yesterday... now on to yesterday... WHAT A DAY
The day started out with the worlds hardest test for my research methods class. Then I had to drive to Colgate University (which is in the middle of nowhere and I mean nowhere, but is gorgeous) for interviews for my research thesis. When I went in the building it was mild snow flurries when I came out we had 65 mile per hour winds and snow. So driving home I had to drive about 20mph and because the roads were slippery. First scary incident my car ran off the road into a ditch so you know I freaked out start crying luckily some guys in front of me backed up and helped me out. I'd say less than 10 miles down the road my car spins and goes into a ditch again so now I'm really crying and I swear those men are my guardian angels because the same two men helped me out of the ditch. So at this point I'm driving as slow as possible and then about 5 more miles down the road spin into yet another ditch this time no one was there to help so I prayed and drove my way out of that one. So at that point I was driving about 10 mph... and when I finally make it to the highway I'm driving toward the snow so I cant see but about 5 feet in front of me and all the signs are covered in snow so I had to guess where to get off the highway. I left there at 3:30 and got home at 6:15 and the place is all of 40 miles away.
Then when I get home my monthly friend is here, freaking great. So I cooked me some dinner had a hot cup of tea and honey and went to bed.
You know I have to end it like this but I'm blessed to be alive. I ran off the road into ditches that weren't hard to get out of but the situation could have been so much worst. What's my favorite saying?!?
