update/rant

I am so sorry that I have been neglecting yall and not sharing all of my insight and wisdom :). Life's just been hectic and I'm sure yall would love to see me graduate and go make the big bucks so I can pay off my loans and invest and continue to shop (LOL) so I had to focus on them books. Umm lets see life has been real busy schools been kicking the tail but I'm on top of things as usual with my over achieving self.

Updates from the last entry. I deaded the person who was having the "lets have a relationship" talk with me so its nothing really to say about that except hahaha LOL

I have my internship/job set up for the summer. I'll be working for the Smithsonian (yaaaaay the job I wanted) in the Office of Public Affairs helping to put together the Folklife Festival so I'm real excited about that.... and I expect that my people will find there way to DC June 23-27 and June 30-July 4, 2004 and come out to the National Mall and visit me while I'm working in the Press Tent (sidebar yall should already be there June 24th to help me celebrate my birthday).

Lets see what else is new. Ummm graduation is May 8th and 9th so I'm real ready for that. Time for me to get out the 'Cuse and make some moves.

Oh and I'm headed to Miami next week and am looking forward to having some fun days in the sun. I'm also really amped that it's Miami fashion week and I'll be going to the Betsey Johnson, Nicole Miller, DO Couture, Buffalo and Seven Jeans shows. This is going to be a lot of fun and I'll have a week to break loose and get away from academia and intellectualism and just have some fun.

Anything else that's new and I forgot I'll write about later...

Here is my brief rant.

If you are going to take on the responsibility of bringing a child into the world please make sure that you have your life together. I am so sick and tired of innocent children being brought into messed up situations because their parents couldn't get their shyt together.
If you know you are damn near broke and your baby is coming soon don't quit your job cause you can't handle the commute, imagine handling poverty (that shyt is real). Think about you having to pay hospital bills and for formula and food on little to no income. And as a man don't do stupidness when you know your job is ready to fire you for sneezing. Two expectant parents without a job is not benefiting your child in any way.

Also on another note if your ass is broke living in the projects what makes you think someone is going to want to buy you a $500 crib set and $100 sheet set so your baby can throw up and shyt on it. I'm sorry, enter reality. Your registry should be practical... you need diapers, clothes, blankets, formula, onesies, wipes, bath stuff, and so on... not bassinets, oak cribs, rocking chairs, DVD's, and frivolous things that if someone purchased it for your child and nothing else that yall would be assed out.

Sorry just had to get that off my chest. I love children and do believe they are God's gifts but as a young parent you must be proactive in trying to make things better, Not putting yourself in situations that may hinder your child and its future. If I'm out working hard trying to make sure that I have a good life and NO ONE is depending on me then make sure you take those steps as well because others are depending on you for survival.

And on that note GOODNIGHT... and I promise I won't wait a month plus to write again.
