you gave me life...

you carried me in your womb for 8 months... dressed me up in lace and bows... took me to the library faithfully every saturday... called me a spoiled brat... made some good grilled cheese sandwiches... always loved and supported me... took on the role of mom and dad with ease... let me drive the new car while you drove the mini van... spoiled me (in spite of you calling me a brat back in the day)... shared words of wisdom... supported me when I was going through "changes" in high school... sacrificed so that I could go to school... answered the phone for late night tears... prayed with and for me... welcomed in all my different sets of friends... supported me even when you didn't support my relationships... understands that although I am your baby I am a woman... continues to be there for me as I evolve into a woman
