Ramblings
I'm just sitting here listening to some music so whatever I hear will kind of inspire my musings today......
I am listening to the song "Stars" by Kindred and I absolutely love this song. It kind of conjured all of these thoughts in my head just listening to the lyrics of the song. How in love are you when you say some stuff like "We come so far / The stars look at you baby / My heart belongs / Right here next to you" that's when you know you are in love. Me and my friend were in my car the other day and we were talking about relationships and growing older and marriage and all that stuff and it was weird to see how differently people look at love. I look at love as an emotional element something that isn't always expressed in the tangible but something that can be felt inside and can conquer a lot. When I heard the Kindred song it reminded me of what I was saying to my friend the other day about how I want to be in love to the point that on the day we get married both of us are crying not cause we are scared or nervous or thinking what have I gotten myself into, but crying because you are so excited to see that other person and excited because you are about to embark on the journey of your life. I know so many people that have taken that humongous step because someone told them "it's the right thing" or from an ultimatum or because it was what they thought they wanted but were not sure. Why make a life altering decision that you aren't 100 percent about.
"MomentInLife" by Musiq with Kindred and Cee-Lo.... this song just puts me in the happiest mood ever. The song just lets you know that there is always a good day coming and things will be ok:

This song makes me think about all the evolving that people go through in life and all the changes and occurrences that happen. While going through these changes there are people that start the journey with you but aren't necessarily there with you when you draw to the end. I swear one of the hottest verses in music is in this song most people aren't listening cause Saul Williams isn't out there in the limelight but if you listen to, read and absorb what he's saying you'll see that this brotha is real and a straight intellect (and I'm not just saying that because his sister and brother-in-law are my mentors):
We are all here for a reason on a particular path
You don't need a curriculum to know that you are part of the math
