Relationship Rants and Raves and Randomness

edited to say... this is a long post. I sat down and wrote until I got tired lol. so if you aren't in the mood to read long post move on to the one prior to this. thanks *smile*

He's getting married... Who is he you ask? My ex boyfriend. Do I care? No. But like five people felt the need to call me today and tell me that he is getting married. Guess what people... I DON'T CARE. Well I care but not how everyone else wanted me to care. Him and I dated like five years ago things ended amicably and that's that. I know his fiancee she's a nice girl (although she's intimidated by me) I saw them both this summer and the situation was far from awkward. So why do people feel like they should be calling to announce to me that he's getting married? Do I want to marry him, no. Do I want to be in her shoes, no (especially not the pregnant part... did I fail to mention that). Am I going to go to the wedding and object, no. Am I happy for them, yes. So people stop telling me. I know already. Lets bury the bone and let the two lovebirds be happy.

Did you all know that I'm a robot? Well that's what this guy Adrian (yes I said your name lol) that I kind of sort of but not really talk to told me. Him and I were on the phone and this negro told me that I am a robot. So I'm like a robot and he's like yeah you show no emotions, you are nonchalant about everything, you try to be perfect and you could care less if I'm around or not. So basically because I'm not sweating his monkey ass I'm a robot. What the hell kind of b.s. is that. Let me be a robot then. Why am I going to stress myself over someone to the point where I'm crying and calling and writing sonnets and I don't see a future with them. So if that's what he sees as a robot. That's ME!

Why do people think they know what is best for me and they can't deal with their own life. I was talking to an associate of mine on IM and she asked was I seeing anyone. I said I'm not in a relationship but I'm casually dating. She says "casually dating you should be looking for a husband?" I said no I shouldn't be so then she says "Oh I understand you are still a bit bitter from your last relationship aren't you? I would be too." No Bitch I'm not. Just because I'm single and enjoying it doesn't make me a bitter man hater. So she proceeds to tell me how I should go out more and join dating services because I'm smart blah blah blah and beautiful blah blah blah and its no reason I should be alone blah blah blah. Who says I'm alone? And why is someone who has been dating a guy for 6 years and he has a 2 year old kid (that she didn't have) and no promise of marriage giving out advice to me anyway. Please people have your house in order before shelling out advice. Thanks.

Why when you are looking like a straight up bum to people want to talk to you. Today I went to the gym and when I left I went to Michaels craft store to pick up some things for family fun night at my church. So I'm in there and I spotted some eyecandy but I'm trying to avoid him because I look like I just came from the gym (hair in a tousled ponytail, Syracuse hoodie and sweatpants and some sneakers). So I'm walking throughout the aisles we see each other and I'm moving trying to get my stuff and be out. So of course when I get in line he's right behind me and starts making small talk asking about Syracuse and what not. So I chit chat check out and leave out the store. I decide to go to Target to get some candy for fun night and while I'm in there I'm like let me get some tampons since they are on sale. So as I'm reaching for the tampons there is Mr. Eyecandy from Michaels looking at CD's. So not only am I looking like a bum but I also have tampons in my hand, great. So he comes over and jokes about why am I following him we exchange more chit chat and then exchange numbers. So ummm why is it that when I am in some fly ass outfit with my hair down and my heels on things are mediocre but when I look like I'm about to go play rugby I get the eyecandy?

Why oh why oh why are people trying to tempt me. He's called me, emailed and IMed me... I'm trying to stay away. He has an accent too I love a damn accent. Especially British accents and West Indian accents. So his British West Indian accent is truly killing me. Why is he fine. I'm talking 6'4 dark dark smooth skin football physique. Why does he have a good job and two degrees. So why am I not talking to him? Because of my damn conscious. Why did he have to sleep with one of my friends? Why is she still attached even though this was 2 years ago? Why does she still cry over him? Why did she know from the jump it would be strictly sexual but she caught feelings? Why does that happen a lot? Why because I love her to death I won't talk to him... man I am too damn good of a friend *le sigh*

......while I was wrapping up this entry this damn song came on the radio that reminded me of someone who I truly dislike( I won't say hate because he doesn't have that type of control over my spirit). When we were together it was our song. Why did I love that song sooo much but now every time I hear it I change the station. This is the first time I've listened to this song in a loong time. Why does that song make me remember what I enjoyed about being in a relationship. This song was on in every significant stage in my relationship. It reminded me of the courting stage when we were on the phone like 4 hours using up all our minutes, when we danced in my living room by candlelight, when we were riding in the car and would kiss at every red light, when we'd sit in the same room and write each other letters, when I left for school we played it, when I found out he cheated I listened to it and I even played it on the night I cut him loose. As much as I dislike the person that is associated with the song the lyrics and the music conjure up memories of a happiness I had that was on a different level. It made me remember the good things about relationships and why I'm not a bitter person because of a bad seed, and why I am not a robot when I want to be, and why a relationship will happen when it is supposed to happen and not when others dictate it should, and why things can happen anywhere even when you aren't feeling like you are on point.

That damn song I tell you...
