bakers dozen...
stole this idea from Will who took it from somewhere else lol...The idea is to come up with twelve thoughts and one pic to describe your weekend using quotes, events, blog entries, whatever....
"I love that woman she has me so spoiled. I don't have to do anything anymore. If I say Lisa come wash my ass here she comes a running with a hot rag and a bar of soap" -- My 87 year old great aunt talking about her personal assistant/nurse/indentured servant lol
"Excuse me is your name Darlene and did you graduate from West Charlotte class of 1968 and live on Dedmon Drive and date a guy named Charles?" -- Some random man (that my mom didn't know, but he knew everything about her) that walked up to our car while we were at the gas station in Charlotte.
"Girl I know you aren't from here I can just sense the up north in you"-- The weak come on line this guy named Lee said to me at this bar in Charlotte after I said I wasn't going to give him my numer since I was just visiting.
"I'm 86 years old and I still can't figure it out, even after watching all the talk shows. What exactly do they do?" -- What my grandmother said when we got on the subject of gay and lesbian relationships (don't ask me how) at friday's post-thanksgiving dinner.
"Aunt Prissy drop down and get your turkey on girl" -- The thanksgiving message my nephews Jordan and Jaylen left on my voicemail thanksgiving morning
"Shiiit just cause Ray couldn't see didn't mean he didn't know where to stick it" -- My aunt as she was getting in the car after I picked her, granny, my mom and other aunts up from the movie theater
"Aunt Chrissy next thanksgiving if you go out of town please don't let Lynda make the jerk chicken again. She was a jerk for thinking she could make that chicken. hahaha" -- My niece Cierra being corny and talking about how bad my cousins version of my dish was.
"Do you like life son? If you do I suggest you don't talk to my niece" -- What my uncle said to the nice football player in the skybox at the Bobcats game that was just asking if I wanted a drink.
"So let me get this straight he's tall, dark, muscular, goes to your church and an Omega. Who cares if his brother used to date your sister one of yall should have jumped on that" -- My mom's response to my cousin and I while we were in the car riding to NC when we said we ran into my sisters ex's brother (that was a mouthfull) at this party we went to.
"Girl you better watch out cause Jesus must be coming soon" -- What my aunt said after her uber wealthy husband, who we affectionately call uncle scrooge, offered to be my sponsor for a doctorate if I promise to teach one day
"You look so familiar, I swear I have seen you some where before and the funny thing is you resemble my ex?" -- What my brother's dumbass father said to me when I ran into him at the Bobcats game.
"You wanna see crunk. I'll show you what crunk is" -- The last words I heard from one of my fraternity brothers after I made a smart remark and before he threw me over his shoulder and ran out of the bar down the street of Downtown Charlotte lol.
For my picture I chose the sole reason I may move to Charlotte lol.
Emeka Okofor. The 6'10 250 pound former UConn player and number 2 overall draft pick for the Charlotte Bobcats who I had my eyes glued on the entire game. It's an obsession that I'm sure i'll be over by friday especially when I realize his real name is Chukwuemeka Noubuisi Okafor and my kids name would be the same thing give or take a vowel and a syllable.
