just bury it...
I was just reading through my notes from a church service a few weeks ago and the pastor was speaking about life after lost. Something he said stuck in my mind and I wanted to write a brief blog on it. He said
"Some of us are married to dead things and because of that connection you can't move forward in life. When you live connected to your losses you are paralyzed."
I was thinking about all the conversations I've had with people in general lately and there are so many dead things that we are holding on to. Dead relationships, friendships, jobs, situations in the pasts, anxieties, worries, bad thoughts, anger, stress, abuse, rape, words spoken by others, and so many other things. When things are dead we need to bury it. We need to put on or black dresses and suits and make arrangements and bury those dead situations and problems and people. Don't die with what died.. Because you can't grow until you let go and release all the dead things you are holding on to. Instead of mourning the thing that you lost celebrate the season that you had it in and keep going because you are still here and that thing is dead.
