hodgepodge

I pulled today's entry from the diarist website. I just picked a couple ones that yielded semi-short answers to make this hodgepodge of a post.

What is the first hour of your day like? Does what happens then have an effect on the rest of your day?
The first hour of my day. Hmm lets see I wake up and go hit snooze on the alarm clock. Lay down for five more minutes and meditate. Then I go to the bathroom and pee (lol well that's what I do). After that stretch for about 5 minutes then I head to the kitchen make my protein/hair shake and put that in the freezer. I take my drugs (multi-vitamin, omega complex, biotin, super-greens, and fiber) drink a bottle of water and by that time I have to use the bathroom yet again. In the bathroom I read my morning devotions. Then I start my beauty rituals. Brush teeth, floss, etc. then wash face, scrub and moisturize. Then it's shower time which isn't too long since I shower before bed. After that get dressed (clothes were laid out and ironed the night before). Put on some semblance of make up, shake my hair out, grab my protein shake and get ready to leave out. I usually do all this in an hours time. This really doesn't effect my day too much if anything is out of order but if I don't drink that shake I'm a tad bit sluggish and also reading the devotional and doing the meditation adds a positive swing to the day.

Who is your best friend? Your most trusted confidant, your most reliable advisor, your most honest critic and most enthusiastic fan? How did you meet them all?
My best friend is Jo.vonne we met in H.S. she was good friends with my bestfriend at the moment. My most trusted confidant, reliable advisor, most honest critic and most enthusiastic fan are all one person, my mommy. She even swings in the bestfriend category it's just that she doesn't know EVERYTHING haha. But mom has been there since day one and the older I grow the closer we get.

Someone in your family deserves an award. Each of us has somebody in the family, possibly even yourself, who deserves an award.
As always I'd pick my mom. But to switch it up I'd say my sister too. She's been through a lot in her life as well. Right now she's a great mom that some how has amazingly found a way to balance raising three kids (10,8 and 2), being a wife, cooking dinner everyday and working 50 hour weeks. Did I mention being a wife dealing with her husband lol. But like me she lost our dad only I think it was harder for her because it was four months before her wedding and we also lost our brother but in spite of that she's always been a really supportive big sister to me. She also sacrifices A LOT so that her kids can have the best of anything and spoils them immensely like she used to spoil me when I was younger. So she deserves the award for playing the balancing act and being a great person in general.
