it's been a long time...
seems as though I haven't been on here in ages. I've been busy as heck with the new position and all the new responsibilities... personal life also has me spinning in a million different directions so I'll give some randomness and promise to post soon (now who knows what soon really means)
7. I try to tell yall I can sing... no one wants to believe me lol (except those that have heard me). But I have weird stagefright. I can sing at church and in front of strangers but friends and fam area no go (unless I don't know they are there). But anyway I got to sing with one of the greatest gospel artists Sunday. I'm still floating. That was the BEST feeling ever.
6. Why does this lady in my office always smell like simmering garbage. It's really getting difficult to breathe. I have air sanitizer and a fragrance tin in my area trying to block out the odor but as soon as she comes to ask me a question or even when she leaves papers on my desk the smell comes. I think she may be sick or something because this isn't natural. At all
5. Yesterday I felt like a (non married) housewife or maybe a hippie ( a stylish one though) lol. I spent my entire afternoon at the farmer.s market. Since I am the head chef at my house and the other house I frequent I went to get all my fruits, veggies, and other organic sensations for my meals. So here I am with my totebag for my goods, long flowy skirt on and sandals treking around the farmers market looking for eats. That is one of my favorite ways to spend a Sunday afternoon. Weekly you see the same people, the farmers get to know you and save you stuff and it's a good outing. One of my favorite parts of summer.
4. Mojito's- whoever invented them I love you. This has to be in my top 3 of summertime drinks (sangria and my mango martini's are the other two) but mojito's let me tell you they are sooo refreshing lol. I was at the Chee.secake Fac.tory for lunch with my mom and I got this big 16oz mojito, it's bad when you are feeling "nice" sitting at the table with mom. Then Sunday while at the farmers market I purchased a mint plant for the sole purpose of mojito making (and a few mint juleps). I even know all the top places to get one in DC lol it's a shame but they are the best
3. E.bay is the devil. I'm telling you you find all sorts of stuff on there that you don't need but you want after seeing it. It's gotten so bad my friend in NY bids on stuff for me if I'm not around to do it and I do the same for her lol. I think I've spent $100 this weekend alone but I mean where else can I feed my shopping obsession and actually feel like I got a good deal
2. This whole dating thing is very tiring. Not tiring because I'm stressed but tiring when it comes to the "you hang up, no you hang up" game. Tiring in the sense that you have to be up at 6 and you are on the phone at 2. I have no one to blame but myself, well and him too but even still this whole thing is cutting into my beauty time.
1. So my birthday is coming up in a week or so. Was originally going to the land down under to visit my cousin but he's been in the states 2 months and he was paying all my expenses so thats out... was going to Miami but thats not a spectacular birthday vacation and I've decided to save that money for my Paris trip next year. Sooo I'm doing nothing. Well that's the plan, my friends are being sneaky though asking for email addresses and what my plans are. They'll be nice and shocked when they can't find me cause I'm at Rouge getting my me time on. Oh well all yall folks that love me checks are being accepted and you can make them out to "The Studen.t Loan Corporation" lol... I'm not going to even plug my wishlist unless you just really want to buy me something lol
