I am really slacking with this whole blogging thing. My bad.
Since the birthday is tomorrow I thought I'd reflect on all the things that have happened in the past year.
In the past year so many different things have happened in my life. I got one of the best internship's a girl could ever have. I did PR for one of the largest festivals in the country. I got a chance to go to congressional hearings on behalf of my org and meet with fabulous people. I went on a fabulous reunion vacation at the beach. I got to spend a week in Vegas with my line.sisters and meet so many of my Delta Sheroes. I finished my comp exam. My entire PR grad program passed with flying colors on the first try. I finished my grad program in August. My cousin came to stay with me for a few months. That helped me learn a lot about me and her. I finally joined Zion after attending for close to three years. I jumped in feet first. I love how my relationship with G.od is blossoming. I searched for a job. and searched. and searched. I decided to focus my attention on educating folks about voting and rights and getting young people involved in the movement. All while still searching for that new job. Also got on a health kick and lost 15 pounds. All while looking for a job. Student loans kicked in on a Monday and I got a contractual gig at a political consulting, public relations and marketing firm that same week. God is awesome. Thought I was going to be there for a month. Stayed there for close to three. There were a lot of politics going on there. I left that job on a Thursday. I had an interview on a Monday. They offered me the job on Friday. God was great again. Somewhere in between the job searching and the life I met a guy. That's all I have to say for now. Well except I'm surprised I haven't gotten sick of him after 5 months. I continued to blossom and grow and frankly I amaze myself lol. I got in a car accident. Could have been deadly. As usual God had his angels alll around me. Started singing more at church. Got to meet Fred and do some background singing when he performed. I am learning new things everyday. I am out of the stump I was in. and I am excited about what God has in store for me.

I am so looking forward to tomorrow when I blow out my 24 candles and am blessed with another year. I am looking forward to all the new opportunities that will happen in the next few months and the next year. Most importantly I'm excited that with so many obstacles and barriers that have been thrown my way that I am still strong and persevering and ready for the journey ahead...
