is she still rambling

yep. I certainly am.

I just got off the phone with a client of mine and somehow we jumped from business to talking about why it's so hard to date in the DC area. I thought I was bad with all the things that I desire in a mate but he had everything picked from hairstyle to bra size to gpa in college. I told him good luck with that because he may just be single for a minute.

Speaking of dating. I think I need a break from it. Hmmm what's that word I used to use to describe my old pal. Insatiable. I do believe that is me as well. It's nothing neccesarily wrong with the situation I'm in but it's losing it's luster. Not only am I not getting all the attention I require (which is a lot) but I'm bored. And that's something I never want to be in a relationship, whether it be serious or not. So time for me to step back into single and mingling mode.

I forgot how hard the transition was going back into vegetarianism. I used to be one a good 2 years or so but then fell off. Now I"m trying to head back in that direction but it's soooo hard lol. Since I was last a veggie I've become a major foodie and this is really hard. Beef and pork sure thats easy to leave but my seafood ahhh it's killing me and my organic chicken even harder. I tried to eat some soy "chikin" nuggets that I used to eat all the time in high school and my tastebuds weren't having it. Maybe I'll try a tofu stirfry tonight ehhh maybe not.

My hair. It's frustrating me. The bigger (longer) it gets the harder to manage. I love my natural hair, my texture and all that good stuff. But me the summer and humidity aren't friends at all. In the past week I've had all sorts of evil hair thoughts from relaxing it to taking some scissors to it. So for the past four days I've been wearing a "sexy" bun. Thats right a snatchback. The hairstyle I promised I'd never wear after the spring of 2001. Ehhh humidity go away. So I can go to the salon and wear my hair out and not worry about the frizzies.

I'm so sick of being a girl. Well not really because it has it's perks. But the waxing, plucking, prodding, snipping, trimming and so on really takes a lot of effort. I was balancing my checkbook/debit card and I saw how many entries were related to waxing, pedicures, skincare, haircare and the gym and thought how ridiculous it is. Sure I could not go but then when I look like teenwolf with a unibrow and a hairy body and my feet are crusty and dry and I'm 700 pounds that won't be fun. My friend was telling me how she spends at least 24 hours a week doing beauty related stuff. That's just ridiculous. I mean how much time and money are guys really putting in compared to us.

This has been a really long week at work. I think I may take tomorrow off, or at least a half day. Who is taking me out for drinks? Also where should I go on my end of the summer get away from the world for a few days mini vacation. I'm thinking Martha's Vine.yard, Ak.waaba by the Sea, Deep.Creek Lake, or Crystal.Springs... help me pick
