as most of you have noticed I haven't been blogging very often. Work is consuming A LOT of my time and now it's about to consume even more... I'm about to go on a mini blog hiatus... first because I am working on a major project at my job that was already consuming and secondly because of hur.ricane ka.trina.

If you didn't know I work for the Amer.ican.Red.Cross and this is now our top priority. In the past few days I've done more tv, radio and newspaper interviews then I expected to do in my career and this is only the begining. I am also a part of disaster re.lief efforts as a public communicator. So what does that mean? Sometime in the near future (could be the next few days or the next few weeks) It's expected that I'll be heading down to the gulf.coast states to work on relief efforts. If I go I'll probably be gone about 3 weeks minimum, closer to a month. Two people left from my office today and 10 are leaving tomorrow.... I started my formal training today... so we'll see.

With that said please keep all the people down there in your prayers and also people who are going down there to try and help them. It's a scary experience for everyone involved (I know I am very nervous). Also this is probably going to be the biggest effort ever in this country so if you can please try to and go visit wwwdotredcrossdotorg
